Tool guide

Select an object and export its mask

Choose a point inside the subject you want to keep. Object selection estimates its outline and creates both a transparent PNG cutout and a separate black-and-white mask for further editing.

A point is a hint, not a guarantee. If the wrong area is selected, move the point to a clearer part of the object and try again. Overlapping subjects and thin edges can need additional cleanup in an image editor.

How to use it

  1. Choose an image, then click inside the object you want to select.
  2. Select object and inspect the highlighted result.
  3. Download the transparent cutout or the separate mask PNG.

Common questions

What is an image mask?

A mask marks the selected area separately from the photo. Use it in an editor to isolate, recolor or refine that region.

Can I select a person instead?

Yes, but portrait background removal is designed specifically for people and may produce a better cutout around hair.
